Soccer is the world’s popular sport. This is where you can find multitude of fans and spectators cheering for their favorite local or national team in any soccer events. However, for the glory that soccer received, it may be depressing to know that the beloved sport has also some circumstances which is quite embarrassing. There have been many instances where fans go wild for some reasons, such as foul play. This is why Leopoldo Lares Interpol has been active in promoting against violence which has ruined the good image of his favorite sport. He believes that the energy of the multitude of fans can be channeled positively in understanding their beloved sport.

In this sport, it promotes the value of selfless generosities and camaraderie in order to be a greater team and individual. These are the qualities that he teaches his students as well as teaching technicalities of playing soccer. He believed that if more people understand the sport’s value and purpose, then there would be less violence in any soccer games.

One occasion where he witnessed violence in a soccer game was when he came home after his son’s soccer practice. He saw two teenagers where in fist fighting just because the other wore a soccer jersey but did not understand what it was or what team was it for. It happens that the other boy was an avid soccer fan and felt insulted when someone wore a jersey with his favorite team but no inkling to the team’s greatness.

There are a lot of people who are wearing soccer jerseys or apparel but without much understanding of the game itself. This is probably because during the World Cup, with all the fame that soccer has, many commercialists have mass produced jerseys and lanyards. People may wear soccer jersey with the intention of showing the world how they love the game soccer and others will go the extent where it will result to violence, but Leopoldo Lares believed that resorting to violence is not the right move for you to be heard. You can instead inform and educate other people about the great vision of soccer and make them understand its greatness.

He emphasizes this when he was coaching and on any coaching regimen he designs. He is a former soccer coach where he helped many teams achieved victories. Now, Leopoldo Lares Interpol is a semi retired coach but still work as a sports consultant and blogger.
